Shah Faisal Mosque is situated in the capital (Islamabad) of Pakistan. It is the largest mosque of Pakistan. It can contain up to 300,000 worshipers. It was completed in 1986. It is the National Mosque of Pakistan. Faisal Mosque has a total area of 43,295.8 square meters (466,032 square feet). The mosque is famous for its unique architectural style. It is shaped like a desert Beduoin's tent. The design was made by a Turkish architect Vedat Dalokay. He received Aga Khan Award for Architecture on this project.
